Kew Palace is an unexpected history lesson of the past life of King George III and his immediate family. An impressive red bricked building, which is free to explore, the palace is preserved from when the royal family dwelled here in the later life of King George III. The palace offers views of the gardens as well as an insight into how it looked hundreds of years ago.

The largest Victorian Glasshouse in the world, the Temperate House was reopened in 2018 after a five year renovation. A lot less stuffy than your typical tropical greenhouse, you can take you time exploring the plants living in a warmer world. The plants within come from all over the world. Take the spiral staircase and walk along the upper perimeter, viewing the ferns, trees, shrubs from above.

The gardens are filled with statues and art work hidden in the gardens and inspired by the life of the artists who create them, often linking their work to the horticulture found at Kew.

The Great Broad Walk Borders is teaming life. Take time strolling past the colours, experiencing the sights, sounds and smells of the borders teaming with bees, butterflies and flowers.
